Remember a Day

KIET has been the Mecca of quizzing in AP for a while now, and KIET has seen its significant share of mind-blowing quizzing over the years. This group of events caters to everyone who remembers anything about anything else; you can be sure that 'anything' will be a question in one of our quizzes. Even if you do not remember anything, you'll be able to work it out as you go. Because we believe, that quizzing should be for all.

1300ºC (Thirteen Hundred Degrees Centigrade) is a brilliant and nerve racking, thought provoking quiz organized as a part of the KIET FEST. 1300ºC is a brainstorming, rapid firing and power-packed quizzing all the way!  1300ºC Quiz is about a new quizzing event that has hit the state of Andhra Pradesh in 2007, 2008,& 2009 with its innovative, original and live-wire format of quizzing. This is the first of its kind to be ever conducted among the Engineering, MCA and MBA colleges in Andhra Pradesh, this event had the contestants competing for the title of brilliance coupled with exciting grand prizes both for the winning teams as well a host of prizes for the audience The Quiz was conceptualized and hosted by the energy packed duo Mr.S.Srinivas(Vasu) and Mr.Syed Sayeed from Hyderabad. The quiz event is aptly named as 1300ºC referring to the temperature at which coal transforms into diamond. It is a well-known fact that coal turns into diamond under extreme pressure and heat and 1300ºC quizzing event aims to put its participants through intense pressure by testing their knowledge and abilities in diverse categories ranging from general knowledge, sports, science and technology etc. 1300ºC had an interesting line up of both informative and entertaining rounds that covered everything from science to movies and music.

No this is not about how much your girlfriend spent the last time you took her shopping. But it might be about how much Yuvraj Singh's girlfriend did. SpEnt stands for Sports+Entertainment. All else is self-explanatory.

The 'Sp' and the 'Ent'  meet at the SpEnt, the Sports and Entertainment quiz of KIET FEST. This is where you're rewarded for being good at what you love. And don't we all love our sports and entertainment?

The SpEnt Quiz is where you can show off your music, movies, books, video games and art to your football, cricket, taekwando and chess without really doing any of them. This is one event where it pays to be a couch potato. Or shall we say a couch potato? Hugely popular and witnessing large participation every year, this is one quiz you cannot miss.

Make sure that you're there. Make sure that your time at KIET FEST is well SpEnt.

Rules

1. The event is open to only college students.

2. One, two per team. All need not be from the same branch.

3. Consists of a written preliminary round, followed by finals which could be on a later day (or night) of KIET FEST.

Registration

On  the spot registration at the time of the event. There is no pre-registration.
