About KIET

Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2001 with approval from AICTE and affiliation to JNTU. It gained reputation as a quality institute for excellence in both academics as well as extra curricular activities of technical importance.

The campus is located at Korangi which is just 16 Km from Kakinada town. The courses offered by this college are ECE, EEE, CSE,IT,MCA and MTech(VLSI). The college is having well-established labs with excellent library facility consisting of over 15000 volumes with various journals. It has a very good and dedicated faculty with a rejuvenative drive and rich experience. Our students have won laurels in various fields due to the dedicated efforts of the faculty.

CSI - KIET

We are proud to inform that CSI - KIET student branch took shape on 9th September 2004, which is the largest student branch in Andhra Pradesh. Many of our students had wonderful opportunities of attending both National and International seminars and coming into contact with great personalities and luminaries through this CSI activity. We are very grateful to our parent chapter CSI - Vizag which motivated and supported us in all our activities. CSI - KIET was awarded as the best student branch in region V for the year 2004-2005 and for the year 2007-2008 also.

Objectives

The motto of the 4-day National Level Technical Fiesta with a different Theme for each day . Concours 2009 is to amalgamate the innovative thoughts of the young with experienced brains on various latest techno trends. It will also help to build up a liaison with the Industry. The technical talks by Professors of renowned Institutions will be the highlight of the event. The gathering will bring about a fusion of a large number of Technocrats whose masterminds will have an opportunity to work as a team and forge their ideas into masterpieces. Events such as technical paper/poster presentation, Technical Quiz Contest, Programming contest etc… will paramount the cutting edge technology. It will also host a range of new design events which propel the imaginations to the edge. It has a range of workshops covering topics as diverse as Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing and many more….
